The 2017 Lenten Schedule for the Basilica of San Francis of Assisi
The Lenten Season begins with the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday, March 1st. All of the Lenten liturgies are meant to serve as our preparation for the celebration of Easter: some of us preparing for various degrees of Christian initiation, others recalling our baptism and doing penance.
