NOW for the translation of the announcement:

At last, the regularly scheduled guided visits of the Basilica of Saint Francis by a friar will begin again! Throughout the month of May the tours of the Basilica, unfortunately available only in Italian, will be led by a friar. The day and times are as follows: Friday afternoons at 3:00 and on Saturdays at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm.

The duration of each guided tour is about 75 minutes; booking is recommended due to limited spaces.
For information and reservations, contact the information office at 075-819-0170 or send an email to info@sanfrancescoassisi.org

The aim of this initiative of the Franciscans of the Sacro Convento is to offer to those who arrive in Assisi, whether as pilgrims, lovers of art and history, or even as simple tourists, the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Basilica in a more profound context. The tour provides a deeper understanding of the life of Saint Francis and his message, to which the art of many great masters offers testimony and a means of dissemination.
